The well-known Australian firefighters who created a calendar of themselves looking good and cuddling cute animals to raise money for charity are continuing the tradition for another year. The group just announced the 2023 calendar, and this year, they’re celebrating the calendar’s 30th anniversary. Along with the firefighters, the calendars include Australia’s beautiful wildlife, with classics like the koala appearing, though you can also see dogs, cats, horses, goats, and other adorable creatures. All of the firefighters featured in the calendar are real-life firefighters who put their lives on the line every day in Australia. Proceeds from the calendars are donated to various charities, including the Kids With Cancer Foundation, Native Animal Rescue, Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital, and many more. According to the official site, the calendar was first created in 1993 to raise money for the Children’s Hospital Foundation, which funds research for burns during childhood. This year, they also branched out and did a special denim-edition of the calendar. As you might expect, the firefighters get a lot of support and love from around the world. In the comments on Instagram, many people wrote how they already ordered or received their copies, while others noted how much they are anticipating their calendar, with one person saying, “I love it and can’t wait for 2023 😍.” Some of the firefighters also made a visit to the states to promote the project, making a pit stop at The Kelly Clarkson Show. While there, host Kelly Clarkson mentioned that one of their main themed calendars for this year features all cats posing with the firefighters. “Personally, for me, I think there’s something symbolic about cats and firefighters. So Sketch was my little kitten, and he was just so photogenic. I wish I had some more time with him,” one of the firefighters told Clarkson. Clarkson then joked, telling the firefighter, “Oh my god, you are photogenic.” You can purchase your 2023 calendar right here! More News:
