Dr. Biden will be hosting a 10-hour livestream with Pinterest that kicks off today, Oct. 4 at 3 p.m. ET, in order to support and celebrate teachers all over the country. The livestream will feature State Teachers of the Year from across the country who will give tips to other teachers regarding everything from how to create community with their colleagues to mental health practices. A live meditation will also be hosted by Pinterest creator Andi Eaton, and to finish off the special event, The Platter Girl will create a special grazing table with delicious food that will be dedicated to teachers all over the country. Dr. Biden will also unveil a brand new teacher’s lounge at Sarah Moore Greene Magnet Academy in Knoxville, Tennessee. The app’s most popular DIY creators, Marite Does It and House of Esperanza created the lounge, which was built to create a space for teachers to collaborate, connect, and inspire one another. Dr. Biden also created her very own personal curated Pinterest board that includes tips on mentorship, ways to stay healthy throughout the school year, and advice from Pinterest’s most popular teacher creators and education-focused publications.
