KraftHeinz announced in a press release on June 22, 2022, that the iconic blue box is getting a new look!The brand will be changing its name from Kraft Macaroni and Cheese to Kraft Mac & Cheese. The company says, “the change from “macaroni and cheese” to “mac & cheese” is meant to reflect the way fans organically talk about the brand.” The brand says the change was inspired by people who believe comfort is the key to feeling good. Brand Manager Victoria Lee said, “We know that people aren’t turning to comfort food as a guilty pleasure, they are positively embracing comfort, saying yes to feeling good, saying yes to caring for themselves." The verified Kraft Mac & Cheese Twitter account shared the name change through a fan’s tweet stating, “Kraft has announced that their classic product shall henceforth be known as Kraft Mac & Cheese. Now it will only be called Kraft Macaroni & Cheese when its mother is angry at it. @kraftmacncheese” The statement says that the brand will update its social media with the new logo this summer, and the new box is set to hit the shelves in August of this year.
